Kiwanis Club to host Miso Soup Breakfast
The Kiwanis Club of East Hawaii invites the community to support the annual Kiwanis Miso Soup Breakfast from 6-9 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Waiakea High School cafeteria.
Eat in, or drive up and pick up breakfast-to-go. The meal will include homemade miso soup, rice, scrambled eggs, sausage and fruit.
“This breakfast supports the student leadership programs for the University of Hawaii at Hilo Circle K, Hilo High Key Club, Waiakea High Key Club, Hilo Intermediate Builders Club, Waiakea Intermediate Builders Club, E.B. deSilva Elementary K-Kids, and the Hilo Union BUGS program,” said spokeswoman Audrey Kagawa.
The fundraiser tickets cost $5 and can be purchased from any member of the student leadership clubs and the Kiwanis Club. As a special bonus, attached to each ticket is a chance to enter the drawing for a medium poke platter, a medium sushi platter or a medium hot pupu platter.
“All proceeds will help the clubs support the community projects they do,” said Kagawa. “Please come and support our Miso Soup Breakfast.” For more information, please call her at 959-8358.
